Marketing Assistant

Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Marketing Assistant to support our traditional marketing efforts and enhance our brand presence through our store and online network. The ideal candidate will be innovative, resourceful, highly organised and have a good understanding of traditional marketing strategies.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns, including events, print ads, sponsorships, and loyalty programmes.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to design compelling marketing materials such as email campaigns, flyers, posters, and promotional items.
  • Plan and coordinate participation in industry events and community outreach programs to promote brand awareness.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure timely delivery and quality execution of offline marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify offline marketing opportunities, consumer insights, and competitive landscape.
  • Control costs and maintain budgets v spend.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in offline marketing, and integrate innovative strategies to enhance campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall brand objectives and messaging.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and design.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passion for marketing and a drive to make a tangible impact on brand growth and success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of traditional marketing principles and techniques, including branding, positioning, and messaging.
  • Experience within the skateboard and fashion lifestyle industry preferred but not essential.

Skateboard Buying and Marketing Assistant

We are seeking a Skateboard Buying and Marketing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for skateboarding and experience in marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify new trends, brands, and products in the skateboard industry.
  • Build and establish effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure product availability.
  • Work across teams to create effective marketing campaigns to increase sales and brand awareness.
  • Develop and execute social media and email marketing strategies with Skateboarding.
  • Analyse and use sales data to inform marketing and purchasing strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to bring new and innovative products to the market.

Requirements:

  • Passion for skateboarding and skateboarding and streetwear culture.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Ideally 2+ years of experience in marketing and purchasing in the skateboard industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the skateboard industry, including brands, trends, and products.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent Time Management working to deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and understanding of basic marketing principles.

Junior Photographer / Studio Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Photographer/Photography Studio Assistant to join our team.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in photography to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a professional studio setting. The successful candidate will have the chance to work alongside experienced photographers and contribute to various aspects of studio operations.

What is the Role?
This role primarily focuses on product management and studio maintenance, including picking and steaming items for product photography, photoshoots and marketing purposes. During peak periods, the role will also involve assisting with photography tasks to support our online and marketing efforts.
Responsibilities:

  • Photographing product using in house equipment at pace and a high standard.
  • Assist Lead Photographers
  • Pick and steam product
  • Collaborate with senior photographers during photoshoots
  • Assisting with equipment setup, lighting arrangements, and other tasks as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the studio space, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and in working order.

Skills:

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in retail, inventory management, or photography preferred.
  • Basic photography skills and familiarity with photography equipment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) is a plus
  • Passion for skate culture and knowledge of skate fashion trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements:
• Full Uk Drivers License
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop / Lightroom (Capture One and Premier Pro would be an advantage)
• Knowledge of photographic/studio equipment.
• Own portfolio desirable but not essential.

Customer Service Adviser

Street fashion, footwear and skate culture is thriving and Route One has been leading the street / skate scene for over 30 years, serving up an eclectic mix of street brands (Nike SB, Adidas, Vans, Thrasher etc.), from our award-winning web store and 8 regional hubs. As a result, we’re now looking for Customer Service Advisor to join the Customer Service team, to help drive the business forward and capitalise on our market leading position.

Key Duties:
  • Dealing with customer service requests across all our platforms including telephone, email, and live chat.
  • Resolving customer complaints.
  • Providing support to our 8 high street stores.
  • Processing customer returns and faulty goods.
  • Maintenance of the customer database and keeping records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Manage a wide range of administrative duties.
  • Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
  • Communicating and coordinating with other internal departments.
Essential Skills:
  • Computer Literacy – including use of Word/Excel.
  • Thorough with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to Multi-Task and Prioritise a busy workload.
  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.

Warehouse Operative

We currently have opportunities to join our Warehouse Team in our Head Office & Warehouse Base in South Gloucestershire. Below are a General Guide of what the role entails, the list is not exhaustive:-

  • Assisting with the unloading of Goods Inward
  • Checking Deliveries in against Purchase Orders
  • Stickering and Locating Deliveries when required
  • Fast and Accurate Picking Customer Orders using Scanners and Warehouse Management Software
  • Accurate packing of Customer Orders
  • Stock Checking and Location Checks
  • General Warehouse Duties – i.e Cleaning and Recovery

Essential:

  • Hard Working

  • Effective Team Work (You’ll be working predominantly in a team)
